About Redesign Developments

A partnership built on complementary strengths and a shared passion for transforming property.

Our Story

At Redesign Developments, we breathe new life into forgotten buildings, transforming underutilised commercial and light industrial spaces into high-quality, affordable homes and workspaces. We honour the original character of each property while creating contemporary environments that support modern living, long-term value, and community wellbeing.

Founded and led by Bindi and Mayur, Redesign Developments work with a carefully selected team of industry experienced architects, planning consultants, engineers, surveyors, project managers and specialist contractors, to identify and deliver opportunities that have often been overlooked.

Where appropriate, we seek to retain commercial elements, supporting local services and employment while revitalising underused sites.

Our mission is not merely to develop square footage, but to create a legacy of living;  building homes that stand as a testament to quality, character, and the enduring value of a life well-lived, across Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire, and the surrounding counties, where thoughtful design and careful stewardship can make a meaningful difference.

Meet the Founders

Bindi Mistry

Bindi Mistry

Co-Founder

Bindi's interest in property development began unusually early, sketching floor plans as a child and exploring spatial layouts with her father before entering secondary school. This foundation gave her a keen eye for unlocking potential in challenging properties while maintaining deep respect for their inherent character and architectural integrity.

After completing a BSc (Hons) in Health Science: Herbal Medicine at the University of Westminster, she built a successful complementary medicine career across South London and Surrey, while also establishing her private practice in Ashford, Middlesex.

Although family priorities ultimately led to her transition from clinical practice, Bindi's healthcare background provided invaluable transferable skills that significantly enhance her property development expertise. The precision, structured thinking, and focus on wellbeing developed in healthcare now underpin her professional approach to creating high-quality, people-centred spaces.

With over 25 years’ hands-on experience across a wide range of residential and commercial projects, including her first commercial-to-residential conversion in North West London in 2003, Bindi has progressively concentrated on growing their property investment and development activities. She works closely on property sourcing, scheme design, financial appraisal, risk management, and project delivery with their team of industry experts, ensuring each development is both carefully conceived and commercially robust.

Her leadership continues to shape the innovative, people-focused developments that define Redesign Developments and deliver long-term value for occupants, investors, and local communities.

"There's something deeply satisfying about taking a tired, neglected property and breathing new life into it."

Mayur Mistry

Mayur Mistry

Co-Founder

Mayur’s passion for property and construction took root early in life. Raised in an environment where DIY projects and renovations were a collaborative effort among family and friends, he gained invaluable hands-on experience. This practical foundation instilled in him a profound understanding of building mechanics and ignited a lifelong interest in structural design and engineering.

With a professional background in both engineering and IT, and a BEng (Hons) in Computer Science from Staffordshire University, Mayur developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills that now underpin his work in development. His interest in architecture spans from historic engineering feats to contemporary, sustainable, technology-led buildings.

Mayur’s property journey began in 2004 with the purchase and successful refurbishment of his first property alongside his wife and business partner, Bindi, a project that marked the start of their long-term collaboration. Over time, his role has expanded from purely technical input to include detailed appraisal, feasibility assessment, and project planning across their schemes.

With over 20 years’ experience in residential and commercial projects, Mayur combines an engineering-led, creative perspective with a strong commercial focus. He plays a key role in shaping Redesign Developments’ strategy and pipeline, overseeing site evaluation and scheme design, to ensure developments are both viable and resilient, while integrating appropriate new technologies and sustainable methods to deliver high quality, efficient and durable homes and workspaces.

"Beyond the build, it's about how a space enhances lives - that’s what drives us to create spaces we're truly proud of."

Our Approach

Thoughtful regeneration. Efficient Design. Enduring Impact.

Each development is assessed on its own merits, with careful consideration of location, context, and how it can best serve the local community. Working alongside our trusted team of experienced architects, planning consultants, engineers, surveyors, project managers and specialist contractors, we identify and deliver opportunities that are often overlooked, coordinating design, procurement, and construction to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high specification.

Where appropriate, we seek to retain commercial elements, supporting local services and employment while revitalising underused sites. Through the combined expertise of our in-house leadership and professional project team, we create vibrant, sustainable places that deliver enduring value for occupants, investors, and the wider community.

Site Identification

We don't just look for empty buildings; we look for latent potential. Our focus is on commercial and light industrial units in Surrey, Hampshire, and Berkshire that have outlived their original purpose but possess the structural integrity to become something new.

Planning & Design

Planning & Design

Our expericenced architects work diligently to design layouts that maximise abundant natural light and usable space, ensuring every project is compliant, safe, and sympathetic to its surroundings.

Balanced Redevelopment

Our methodology centers on the intelligent repurposing of existing structures to maximize site potential while retaining architectural character. We focus on enhancing the building’s core performance by selectively upgrading the fabric; integrating premium insulation and smart climate systems where they offer the most tangible return on comfort and utility. This balanced approach ensures we deliver residences and workspaces that are as commercially viable and practical to maintain as they are impressive to inhabit.
